I have the honor of being asked to present at the Tech Women Community conference in Tuxtla-Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico at 6pm tomorrow evening (12/7/16).  The presentation is about the Drupal Content Management System, and how to quickly leverage it for various projects.

The conference is several days long, and it hits a critical and growing niche in Mexico’s workforce – women in technology. The idea of the conference is to educate and inspire women who are looking at getting involved with technology projects, who are interested in getting educated and expanding skills, and who are looking for resources and networks to learn with.

The conference is taking place at the Palace of the Governors, and in addition to being attended by individual persons, local NGO’s and international foundations and granting organizations will also be in attendance.

The mission of Tech Women Community is to change the statistic of low participation of women in the IT sector through a platform of knowledge that inspires and motivates women to participate and become generators of technology in order to achieve a balance of ideas and capabilities that strengthens the world of Information Technology.

I’m looking forward to being part of the conference and to what I’ll share and what I’ll bring back with me.
