Tonight is President Obama's second State of the Union address before Congress and the American People.  There has been no shortage of talk about civility (as signified by Republicans and Democrats intermingling on the House floor), and speculation about what the President will talk about (jobs), and in just a few hours we will see what it amounts to.

Obama takes the lead with another emerging technology: temporarily embedding advertising inside video games. The technology is only 18 months old, and Obama is the first presidential candidate to buy space for the Xbox Live system. "The ads — appearing on billboards and other signage — remind players that early voting has begun and plug a campaign Web site that encourages people to register for early voting." The video game ads are targeting 10 battleground states that allow early voting, including Ohio, North Carolina, Nevada and Florida among others.

That is the message at webprofits.com which has put together a detailed outline of the Presidential candidate's online strategy, including social networking, SEO, email marketing, mobile marketing and a number of other strategies. Also of note, the Obama campaign has engaged a "Rapid Response Team" which has has launched a new website for the single purpose of rapidly responding to and repudiating negative comments about the candidate. Quickly responding in the same 24/7 news-cycle in which he is attacked is perhaps the greatest achievement of this unprecedented online campaign to date.
