Rose Liebman

Finding the balance between resources, quality and time is where Rose excels. Over the course of her work life Rose has slowly come to the firm commitment to use her talents and skills exclusively to improve her own community and beyond. She has never been happier.

Prior to joining CivicActions, Rose was co-principal of a firm that offered branding, design and animation for most major cable networks in the U.S. In the broadcast media world, traditional production (sometimes known as “waterfall”) is the norm. Rose was often frustrated with some of the inefficiencies of this older system. Then she discovered the agile methodology and she has never looked back.

Rose is a certified Scrum master and an agile evangelist. She loves the energy and “team-iness” that comes from the iterative development process. She loves the transparency and cost efficiencies she can offer CivicActions’ clients. It also helps that she believes in their missions. She considers their success, her success.

The American-born Rose spent much of her youth, including high school, in Greece and her bilingual/bicultural upbringing has informed her worldview. Facile in languages and a frequent traveler, she is finally at home doing CivicActions’ values-oriented work. She spends her free time on community-building enterprises such as helping manage her local CSA (community supported agriculture) group and managing the web development team for her local food coop. She lives in New York City with her partner, Joshua, and her dog, Gus.
