Chuck Spidell
Chuck is a designer, developer, creative strategist, and all-around master of the pixel. It all started during the mid 90s in high school. Chuck looked forward to sharing music with his friends on mixtapes with custom covers. Old newspaper and magazine collections reserved to collect dust were raided. With scissors and experimentation at hand, he cut out words and images, then blended them together. Pre-Photoshop? Indeed.
Today, Chuck has taken his influences from music and art cultures by creating masterful work for the screen. He has over 12 years of experience in web and graphic design; and managing his company, Illusio Design. He is enthusiastic about designing with experimentation, intuition, and making strategic decisions for a client’s brand.
Chuck's passion for non-profit, humanitarian, and social good organizations began in 2000 while managing Sierra Club's Ventana Chapter. Around the same time, he also helped Friends of African Village Libraries (FAVL) rebuild their brand. And recently, Chuck worked with CARE to create a donation website to help aid the victims of the Port-au-Prince, Haiti earthquakes in January 2010. Seeing the pictures of devastation and despair made him realize that compelling, fresh, and authentic design can help to change our world. He looks forward to helping like-minded organizations represent their brands.
