Sumit Kataria wears many hats at CivicActions as well as in the Drupal community at large. Since joining us in April 2009, Sumit has contributed his skills as Tech Lead for Women's Funding Network, NextAgenda and Center for Reproductive Rights, provided engineering support to Tesla Motors and our internal systems (including our home site) and developed many awesome iPhone, iPad and Android applications. He is keenly interested in working with mobile web and using Drupal as a potential platform for iPhone and Android application development in particular. He recently returned from DrupalCon in Copenhagen, where he presented “Developing apps for iPhone/iPad/Android devices using Drupal as a base system”. Sumit started using Drupal during the Google Summer of Code 2008 and is himself mentoring a SoC project this year. He earned his Degree as an Engineer in Computer Science at Punjab Engineering College in Chandigarh, India. In his spare time Sumit enjoys being a new uncle, exploring emerging web technologies, open source software and music.
