CivicActions is delivering a new website for the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts. VLAMA has the following goals for the new website:

  • Utilize a content management system which will allow VLAMA staff to easily maintain website content
  • Visually re-design the look of the website
  • Update and revise the site map for easier navigation and a better target audience experience

CivicActions is utilizing the Drupal content management system for projects like this, where a robust and powerful CMS is required. Drupal is mature, powerful and, most importantly, supported by a thriving community of literally thousands of programmers, administrators, web designers, content specialist and end-users. This community is engaged in a constant process of testing and improving the platform. Drupal is a well designed content management solution that will allow VLAMA's non-technical end users to safely and efficiently maintain an ever expanding library of web content.

About Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts

Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts, Inc. (VLA) is a non-profit organization established to meet the legal needs of the state's artistic community. The current VLA was incorporated in September 1989 through the joint efforts of the Boston Bar Association, the Artists Foundation and the City of Boston's Office of Cultural Affairs. VLA is the only organization in Massachusetts designed specifically to address the legal concerns of the arts community. VLA provides a Legal Referral Program, seminars and workshops to artists and arts organizations from all creative disciplines including, among others, visual arts, music, literary arts, performing arts, and film and video.
