Labor Community Strategy Center

When The Strategy Center approached us their hand coded HTML website was decidedly web 1.0 and had become increasingly difficult to maintain and showcase their amazing work. Working with outside information architecture and visual design we crafted a robust website using Drupal 5, Panels2, Views, Views Slideshow, Image Cache, CCK and a number of other modules to meet the Strategy Center's needs. Each of their marquee projects has a landing page on the site where blog posts, news clips, press releases and flyers are aggregated. Custom theming displays different banners depending on which project is being viewed.

One of The Strategy Center's greatest assets is their weekly broadcast radio show, Voices From the Front Lines. Previously there was no way to navigate VFTL other than by air date. We use taxonomy to link individual VFTL segments to projects, campaigns and issues improving their findability both through search and by surfacing them along side other related content. We are continuing our work with The Strategy Center training their staff organizers on social media strategy. Organizers regularly post updates on their projects and campaigns, post news clips from local media outlets and look for opportunities to highlight their work and reach out to their constituencies through a variety of websites and tools. As they celebrate their 20th Anniversary in May, the Strategy Center's website will help them grow and tell their story to the public.
