EcoTuesday Website

EcoTuesday Website

EcoTuesday is a social venture startup that needed a website to tell its story, connect members to one another, and make it easy for participants to sign up for events.

We began our engagement with a detailed discussion of strategy to determine the priority of features, as well a solution to meet the future needs of a growing organization. Open source tools were the preference of the client, which aligned with their core value of sustainability.

The site was built considering a spectrum of users, from the beginner to the very technical. We developed an architecture that could be developed in phases as new cities were brought onboard.

EcoTuesday attendees can sign-up and pay for events online, see who else is attending and follow bloggers who write about sustainability in their local community. The system allows for direct connection from user-to-user after the events takes place to facilitate on-going connections The resulting solution has allowed EcoTuesday to grow to 9 cities, hold more than 100 events and build an email list of over 5000 participants.
