CNU XV: Congress XV

The Congress For The New Urbanism had recently upgraded their organizations website to Drupal, and sought to do the same with the site for their annual Congress, a conference on New Urbanism. They had a different theme for this site and wanted it to share some content with the new CNU.org site. We set up a multi site installation with custom table sharing to achieve their goal. Both sites share some key Drupal database tables and a CiviCRM installation and database. Content that is specific to the CNU XV displays under that theme, and content that is shared between the two sites displays under the theme of the referring page.

About Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU)

The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) is the leading organization promoting walkable, neighborhood-based development as an alternative to sprawl. Whether it's bringing restorative plans to hurricane-battered communities in the Gulf Coast, turning dying malls into vibrant mixed-use neighborhoods, or reconnecting isolated public housing projects to the surrounding fabric, new urbanists are providing leadership in community building. When CNU came to us looking to develop a second website for their 15th Congress we were excited by the opportunity to work with a visionary organization working towards a more sustainable and friendly built environment.
